I am so excited. We're on furlough today, so we got up bright and early, grabbed coffee, and headed downtown to the opening day of the farmer's market. It will be on through November. It was downtown, and there were two sides. One side had the produce, nuts, etc... and the other had coffee, bread, and sweets. I have lived in this area long enough to keep my expectations low for these types of events. So I was actually very excited. The only negative is that they are only open on Friday mornings. Since we normally work, we'll have to make a point to come down during lunch, and I'm usually too lazy to do that! :)
I spoke to someone at the information booth, and she said they're considering being open some Fridays during summer, so that would be good.
I bought sweet red onions ("Stockton reds") and honey. There wasn't much selection, but it isn't summer yet.
Hope lots of folks come out and support it. We're in the Central Valley and really should have a market! The logo is cool too!
