All this online communication has gotten me thinking - what are the best verbs to describe these activities? Writing, blogging, posting?
As far as verbal communication, the dictionary has no shortage of speaking-related words:
verbose - wordy; using an excessive number of words
yammer - to talk continuously and often loudly
loquacious - Talkative or chatty, especially of persons given to excess conversation
garrulous - Excessively or tiresomely talkative; Excessively wordy and rambling
voluble - fluent or having a ready flow of speech;
and of course,
talkative - inclined to excessive talking: tending to talk readily and at length
Do you have any other favorite words related to talking? I can be all of these, or, depending on the environment, I can be quite reticent and shy.
